Airport pickup guide

Planning a Pearson Airport Pickup

For a Pearson pickup, send your airline, flight number, terminal and passenger count when you ask for a quote. After you land, message or call your chauffeur once your bags are in hand. Delays happen, so tell the office early if your arrival changes.

  • Details to send before you fly
  • Steps after you land
  • What to do when plans shift

What should I send before my pickup?

Give the office the date, the airline, the flight number, the terminal if you know it, your name, your mobile number and the number of people. Add the delivery address too: a hotel name, a home address or an office.

List the bags, especially big or awkward ones. A mountain of cases changes the vehicle. Mention a connecting flight if the pickup depends on it, and say if anyone needs help walking or carrying items.

  • Airline and flight number
  • Terminal, if known
  • Mobile number that works abroad or on roaming
  • Passengers and bags
  • Drop-off address

What happens when I land?

Landing is the start of a short sequence, not the end of one. You taxi to the gate, leave the plane, walk through the terminal, and for international arrivals, clear immigration and customs. Then you collect checked bags and head to the arrivals area.

Because that sequence varies, the pickup does not run on the landing clock. Your chauffeur is in touch by message or call, and you let them know when you are heading out. The confirmation names the meeting point, so you know where to walk.

Will my phone work when I arrive?

Often not without a plan. If you are arriving from abroad, check roaming before you fly, or arrange a local connection, or use airport Wi-Fi to message the office. Put that contact on the form so we can plan for it.

Write down your chauffeur's number from the confirmation and save the office number as well. Having both means a missed message is not a missed ride.

What if my flight is early or late?

Flights shift. If yours does, tell the office as soon as you know. A short delay may need no change at all. A long one can move the pickup, and in that case the office explains what it means for the plan.

Missed connections are the same story. If you land on a later flight than booked, send the new flight number so the pickup follows you.

How do I plan a pickup for a group or a family?

Send one request with every flight number and arrival time. Groups arriving separately can be gathered into one drop-off or handled as separate pickups, depending on how far apart the flights land.

With children, add their ages and say whether a car seat is needed. Families moving through a big terminal tend to take longer than solo travellers, which is another reason the pickup is tied to your message rather than the clock.

Does the terminal change anything?

It changes the meeting point. Our terminals guide explains how to confirm yours. The booking message from the office names the terminal and the spot.

Pearson pickup questions

Cannot find your answer? Call or email us and we will help.

Do I need to know my terminal when I book?
It helps, but it is not required. Send the airline and flight number, and the office can confirm the terminal for you.
How will I find my chauffeur?
The confirmation gives the meeting point and your chauffeur's contact details. Message or call when you are out of customs and holding your bags.
What if I forget to message the chauffeur?
Call the office or the number in your confirmation. Your chauffeur is expecting you, so a quick call fixes it.
Can we stop somewhere before the hotel?
Yes, if it is on the booking. Tell the office before the day so the plan and the quote include it.
What if my luggage does not arrive?
Report it to the airline first, then message your chauffeur so the pickup can go ahead without waiting for it.
Can I book a pickup for someone else?
Yes. Send their name, flight and mobile number, and mention who is paying so the confirmation goes to the right person.
